I came across an interesting study that surprised me.  To summarize, most people feel that when they are choosing a mate that their satisfaction will increase if they have more candidates to choose from.  In fact, most people feel that choosing between a group fo 20 to 50 potential mates will increase satisfaction.  However in actually study, what was found was that there was no more satisfaction from choosing between a smaller group (4 candidates) and the larger group.  Apparently, on satisfaction surveys there was no discernable difference.

Why you may ask?  Because the complexity of choice in the larger group added frustration and misery to the task.
